Safety
Medication & Safety Filters
Safety filters collect nutrients, bioactives, forms, tags, and source records that mention common caution contexts. They are screening tools, not personal medical advice.
Priority Filter
High Caution
Higher-risk nutrients and bioactives where overdose risk, medication interactions, liver/kidney concerns, pregnancy, or narrow safety margins deserve extra review.
Treat these as extra-review items. Do not use concentrated products casually when medications, pregnancy, liver/kidney disease, abnormal labs, or complex medical history are involved.
Pregnancy / Breastfeeding
Items with pregnancy, breastfeeding, prenatal, infant, or fertility-treatment cautions.
Use clinician guidance before adding concentrated botanicals, high-dose minerals, fat-soluble vitamins, or glucose/thyroid-active supplements.
Blood Thinners / Bleeding Risk
Items that may matter around anticoagulants, antiplatelets, bleeding risk, or surgery.
Do not make sudden supplement or vitamin K changes around anticoagulant therapy without clinician or pharmacist guidance.
Kidney Disease
Items where kidney disease, kidney stones, mineral handling, or creatine-style cautions appear.
Kidney disease changes how minerals, electrolytes, protein-related supplements, and some medications should be managed.
Liver Disease
Items with liver disease, liver-safety, or concentrated extract cautions.
Concentrated botanicals and extracts deserve extra caution with liver disease or abnormal liver enzymes.
Thyroid Disease / Medication
Items related to thyroid disease, iodine exposure, selenium, or medication spacing.
Both low and excessive iodine can matter; thyroid medication timing and supplement use should be reviewed professionally.
Diabetes Medications
Items that may affect blood glucose markers or overlap with glucose-lowering medication contexts.
Blood-sugar-active supplements can change medication needs or hypoglycemia risk.
Sedatives / Driving
Items with sedation, sleep, alcohol, driving, or central nervous system caution context.
Sedating supplements can add to alcohol, sleep medications, anxiety medications, anesthesia, or impaired driving risk.
Allergies
Items with allergy-related cautions, including fish, shellfish, ragweed-family, and bee-product contexts.
Avoid known allergens and treat severe allergic symptoms as urgent medical issues.
